Multiplying some vintages..

Can you guess what is that ?

Hint: its mr Spectors bday gift :)
Now take a look once again:

Yep...old vintage original canadien maps...we were thinking about hanging them on the wall just as they r but mr Spector came with a better idea : Lets cut them !!! Whaaat?!?!?!?!

But mr Spector says, mr Spector gets ( loool hope u like this one mr Spector) so there was some cutting and stapling, some destroying Ikea decorating panels - to have perfect frames) and now we are living with those not 2 BUT 6 pieces and we simply love them !!

Those ikea pics were in wood+glass frames - priced down from 17 to 12$ so it was a real steal...all we had to do was ...destroying what was inside and put our cutted maps...

And.. Tadaaah:

Have a seat

A little upholstery took place last few days... As one of my bday gift i got stanley upholstery gun ( woo woo - thank you babe) i could finally give a new life to classic Kroehler chair. Thats how it looked at very beginning when we just got it:
Thats the guy on the right. mr spector wanted us to keep original upholstery so at first we tried to wash it.......

That did not go well - the ivory fabric turned yellowish at some spots - i had no idea why but that mystery was resolved after i decided to give a try in upholstering it and had to take the old material off....

Inside that fabric was covered with sth i would described as thick glue so apparently when i was trying to wash it and added hot water this gluey substance melted and went through fabric so that it made those ugly spots.... But then again i was pretty happy we can try with different fAbric as. Original one was kinda out of date... I removed kroehler sign, legs and started to getting fabric off

We get rid of buttons and trim is dome completely diffferent - it was my first upholstery of a chair  and i was trying to follow some rules i would fund on different blogs but in the end u just try to figure it outt your own way

And finally - thats how it looklike now : still needs a few more nails here and then but in my opinion - and mr Spector says it too- it lookspretty nice....

We still need to stain legs as well but i am already happy for how it looks like now :)

UPDATE:

There it is with stained legs :)

Happy Canada Day snapshoot !

Home

It has a huuge living room in which we made also dining area ( so u can also say its dining room), a kitchen is half opened, then a looong hall or corridor
Then on the left side we have a laundry room, main washroom and on the right are two smaller bedrooms and in front u can see masterbedroom
Master bedroom has separate washroom or i would rather describe it as a toilet - .
Whats the most aaaaaawesome this unit has two (2) balconies or u could even call them terraces... Its so uniqe and cool !!! For now balconies are under construction and we just cant wait to see how they change as well as we cant wait to change that wallnut brownish suite into beautifull penthouse it fully deserve to be :)

Hello there

Hello everyone,
Wanted this blog to perfectly start on Canada Day but as  you all can see i am a bit late ( buuusy Canada Day - that includes camping, sightseeing, eating many hot- dogs etc) but....well here we are with our blog about our new canadian house...errr that is...apartament :) but whatever - if its house, apartament or just a room - anything you will read here about will be about decorating Home as thats what is the biggest passion of mine

First - this is entrance view- u can see a den with white cupboard that will have to leave soon, living room and dinning room all in one, there is a kitchen on the right side of the dining room. Right now its all beige&dark brown/black kinda early 2000s style but even though i don't fancy those furniture nor walls colours i knew from the very beginning i would love that flat.
